SPEL is one of the partners of the European Project ARiSE: The Right(s) School, which will be implemented from 2022 to 2024. The partnership includes partners from Slovenia, Cyprus, Greece, Romania and Portugal.
Project Objectives:
ARiSE project was developed to identify the bigger challenges in the educational system when it comes to Child’s Rights, increasing teachers’ knowledge, skills and capability to guarantee that these rights are respected and protected.
This project established the following objectives:
– Develop an innovative learning system and resources on the topic of Children’s Rights;
– Develop methods and online tools that will enhance communication and the exchange of good practices in the promotion of Children’s Rights at school;
– Promote sustainability and transferability of good practices through the development and integration of children’s rights in the national educational systems;
– Support Rights-based School policymaking that will enhance cooperation and capacity building among stakeholders, while awareness-raising activities will be tested in the respective local contexts.
– Disseminate results and project sustainability.
The project will achieve the following results:
– Development of innovative tools and pedagogies in school education based on the principles of HRE (Human Rights Education);
– Development and implementation of an Interactive Training Curriculum;
– Development of an Online Platform that will form a bridge between teachers and other HRE professionals;
– Development of an Interactive Guidebook that will summarise the activities and outcome of the project;
– Dissemination of the results and sustainability of the project.
